| Bio: | Stats. Name. Marcus Joseph Anderson Nickname. Marc Age. 24 Birthday. October 31st Sexuality. Heterosexual Hair. Red Eyes. Brown Height. 5'9" Occupation. Music Teacher Family. Joseph Anderson (Father), Susanne Anderson (Mother) Mutation. Marc is able to go invisible at whim, and is able to make up to 3 people within a 100 foot radius invisible along with him. As time progresses, he'll be able to make up to 5 people invisible, and may even be able to increase the distance. However, being invisible requires a bit of concentration, so if his concentration is broken (for example: if he gets hit while invisible) he becomes visible again. Marc also has superspeed, he doesn't even know how fast he can go, but as he would put it "I can go faaast" History. For the first 11 years of his life, Marc thinks of summer camping trips, his mom teaching him how to play the guitar, and playing with the younger children that he enjoyed running around with at that age. He tries to forget the screaming matches between his parents, the days he found himself leaving for a friends house and staying for all 3 meals just to get a break, and the nights where one or the other parent was gone for hours, and coming back to the house at the wee hours of the morning. Marc was 12 when his mother decided to leave his father, and move to Washington with her mother. After his mother left, Marc became a little more distant from his father, blaming both parents for the broken home. While in High School, Marc found out about his invisibility mutation thanks to a crashed house party. Things got a little loud, and Marc was one of many that was going to get busted for drinking under aged. However, when the cops checked the closet Marc was hiding in, they didn't see him. Afterwards, he experimented with his mutation, and learned it's ins and outs. His super speed came during a heated race against a rival student, when Marc realized that he might lose the race, and lose quite a bit of face, he tried to run even faster, and found himself suddenly at the other end of the football field, and trying to stop himself with somewhat disastrous results. A week later he was out of the hospital with what was the first (but not the last) concussion that Marc would endure. Of course, it was too late at that point, and it was out that Marc was a mutant. Putting all of this together with the very fragile situation at the Anderson household, Marc was packed to move to New York City (to crash with an old friend he'd not heard from for years) and out the door on his 18th birthday. Sure, he had to spend most of his money on a Greyhound bus ticket, but it was worth it in Marc's eyes. Unfortunately for Marc, all he found when he got there was an old lady wondering who the redhead was, and why he was looking for the previous tenant. Embarrassed, Marc rented himself a cheap hotel room and tried to piece together his next move. A few nights later, Marc had snuck into a bar, abusing his mutations, when he was picked up by two residents from Xavier's School for the Gifted. Hours later, Marc had a place of his own to stay in, rent free, and best of all, away from his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. After a little bit of cajoling from the Professor, Marc decided to finish out his high school career (another semester), and by the time he was finished with that, he'd decided that it didn't seem like such a bad idea to stay at the mansion, and try to work on a teaching license, so the mansion could have a badly needed music teacher. He decided that it'd be a good idea to take some classes outside the mansion to obtain his teaching license. During his time studying to be a teacher, he also worked part time at a music store, and while he was working there, a coworker introduced him to a young woman by the name of Mary Smith. They hit it off and soon started dating before his 20th birthday. Of course, everything wasn't perfect with Marc during his schooling. In the early October of 2005, he was held hostage by his friend, Pellucid Eniw, as she tried to escape from the mansion after killing famous mutant Jason Aenas. Marc blamed himself for Pell being able to get away, since she borrowed his mutations, and spent nights distraught over this fact. He started drinking even more heavily at this point, even though he'd always been a drinker due to his issues at home. Things were going well for Marc, until one night in early 2006 when he drunkenly had a one night stand with his best friend Alice Howell. He admitted it to Mary and they broke up, which put Marc in a very self destructive pattern, until he decided it'd be best to move in with a different friend, who lived out in San Fransisco. He lived out there, albeit in different places, for a few months until he was convinced by Pell (who went to visit the last person Marc was shacking up with), that he should go back to the mansion. He did end up moving back to the mansion, and patched things up with both his friends and his ex-girlfriend. A few short months later, Marc and Mary were not only back together, but had impulsively eloped, to make sure that nothing like the aforementioned drama ever happened again. The marriage, at first glance, seemed like a perfectly healthy one, but on the inside it was headed for disaster. After a few months of a "happy" marriage, Mary decided to get the cure, and shortly found herself regretting it, and hating herself for what she was, as well as hating her husband for what he was. While this was going on, Marc was trying his hardest to be a supportive husband, but was having his own struggles as the school counselor (whom Marc was ordered to see after the SF incident by Xavier) decided that it would be best to send Marc to A.A. meetings. After a few meetings with Alcoholics Anonymous, Marc acquired a sponsor; the mansion's newest staff member, Lulu Cook. The two grew closer while Marc's marriage was still straining, with Marc trying to fix it left and right, but not getting very far. Everything came to a head on the next Valentine's Day, when a relapsing drunken Lulu admitted having feelings for Marc, and after a rather awkward conversation, they ended up sleeping together. This was the start of a brief affair between the two, which would stop being an affair due to circumstances out of their control. On the first day of lent, part of Mary's mutation came back and due to it all not coming back at once, it killed her. This caused Marc to have a major relapse, and Marc eventually gave up on even trying to stop drinking. A close friend of his, Bianca, convinced him to go to rehab finally, and he spent a month cleaning up before he came back to the mansion. Things from that point on were mostly calm for Marc, except for news of his sleeping with Alice passed on to Alice's boyfriend (and Marc's only guitar student) Sean Barker. Infuriated, Sean dropped Marc's guitar class, leaving him without a student, and Alice found herself so distraught with the situation that she moved out of the mansion and back in with her family. This has left Marc more than a little stressed, but he's managed to keep himself on the wagon. Personality. Marc is, in short, one of those guys that either you love him, or you hate him. There is no real in between. He tries to be friends with everyone he can be, but if someone pisses him off, he doesn't give up on the grudge for a long time. However, if you are one of his friends, he will go out of his way to make sure that they know he cares. Marc however does have a short temper for those he doesn't like, and is sometimes quick to act. | |||||||||
